What are you most excited about for your trip to the UK?: I just want to meet these Sheffield students already! And also get a feel for if Sheffield could be a place that I might want to go long term if the expansion goes through.

What are you most nervous about for the trip?: To be honest, I am probably most nervous for rejection and students thinking I am weird.

What is a prayer request you have for the summer?: That when sharing the gospel with girls I will not try to add anything to the gospel (1 Cor. 3:11) so they would think highly of me, but rather boast in my weakness as to proclaim the sufficiency of Christ (2 Cor. 12:9).

Random Fact: I prefer to drink hot chocolate in the summer and eat ice cream in the winter. I just think they taste better that way.

Meg O’Toole

What are you most excited about for your trip to the UK?: I am most excited about the diversity of the students over there because there isn’t must diversity at my school here.

What are you most nervous about for the trip?: I had some general fears of not connecting with students on campus or not getting along with the team, but after talking with a friend, I was reminded of Isaiah 41:10, that in all my fears, the Lord is still with me. So I’m not too nervous…just really excited for the trip!

What is a prayer request you have for the summer?: Praying for the opportunity to meet and connect with international students who could bring the gospel back to their home countries.

Kate Hoyles

School/Year/Major: University of Minnesota, Junior, Nursing

What are you most excited about for your trip to the UK?: I am most excited to see how God will work through our seed-planting and faith in a very post-Christian country filled with so many people who have never even heard of Jesus.

What are you most nervous about for the trip?: I am most nervous for conversing with people who have no concept of who Jesus is and are so hard set in atheism or an anti-Christian worldview. (Prayer request too!)

What is a prayer request you have for the summer?: I want prayer that I (and the team) will be constant in prayer and trusting in God alone for satisfaction, growth, and fruit throughout the trip, even as things are though and we meet opposition and other discouragements.

Random Fact: I LOVE dad-humor and terrible, punny jokes.

What are you most nervous about for the trip?: Most nervous about connecting with students on campus.

What is a prayer request you have for the summer?: Prayer that friendships will form with students on the campus. That I would not trust in my own ability to share the gospel, but believe that God has the power to work all things out.

Random Fact: I love interior design and I could watch HGTV all the time.

What are you most excited about for your trip to the UK?: I am most excited to meet students and to see what it looks like to do ministry in a cross cultural context, because this is my first ever mission trip.

What are you most nervous about for the trip?: I think that the things I am most nervous for is that I would fail to be bold and share my faith when I am there.

What is a prayer request you have for the summer?: I think that the biggest prayer request that I have is that I would trust in the sufficiency of Christ and not myself.

Random Fact: I studied abroad for one month in Havana, Cuba.
