Though Ellie became a believer before college, being part of Campus Outreach as a student at Bethel was what solidified and deepened her relationship with the Lord. Freshman year of college was a major season of transition and reevaluating beliefs and identity. It was people in CO who pursued to know Ellie deeply, grounded her in Scripture, and helped her grow in sharing her faith with others.
Taylor was raised in a gospel-saturated household led by believing parents, but it wasn’t until coming to college that he grew in the convictions of his faith. Through the intentionality of two seniors on the football team, he saw what it meant to live out his faith. Because of these two, Taylor became involved in Campus Outreach where a staff member, Nate Van Zee, began to stoke his desire to live on mission for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Though they attended different colleges, they first met through some mutual friends in Campus Outreach during their sophomore year of college. They got engaged in August 2019 and married in November 2019. Through God’s grace and the blessing of CO in their lives, they confidently know they want to spend their lives treasuring Jesus more and answering the call of Matthew 9:37-38.
