98% of students I interact with have never heard the gospel before. This is an unofficial statistic that continually rings true in my personal ministry. If they’ve never heard the gospel before, what do they believe in? Today, their beliefs are being formed by the question "does it work?" more than the question "what is true?"…
The year 2022 has felt exciting and hopeful as we minister alongside student leaders and bring the gospel to Bethel students. We praise God for all he did in 2022 and believe the Lord has much in store this next school year…
God was gracious to us in 2022. Our staff team had dropped from four to two staff members, but we had a group of committed student leaders who were excited to join us in ministry. The effects of the pandemic were still prevalent, but the events we hosted were well attended by students, many of whom we had previously never even had the chance to meet. Although we felt our trust in the Lord was secure, we often felt like the scared father in Mark 9:24 …
Most notably featured in the movie Space Jam, we hear these famous lyrics: “I used to think that I could not go on. And life was nothing but an awful song. But now I know the meaning of true love. I'm leaning on the everlasting arms. If I can see it, then I can do it. If I just believe it, there's nothing to it. I believe I can fly!” Though the intention behind this song was to inspire us to find belief in ourselves,…

We had the privilege of bringing six students with us to partner with Campus Outreach South Africa in Pretoria as they raise-up laborers and leaders on the college campus. It was amazing to learn alongside the SA team how to love students through friendship, sharing the gospel, and sharing life…
I got involved with CO because going into college I had a desire to lean into this whole faith thing that I didn’t fully believe yet. Soon after coming to college, I started attending Bethlehem and that’s how I heard about CO. Through CO I started to have conversations with real depth. It was my first time experiencing discipleship, and being involved with Discipleship Groups was very powerful even though I wasn’t sold on Christianity yet. CO offered me a Christ-centered community,
Our Summer Training Project this summer was unique in that this year we had the privilege of partnering with the St. Louis region and the Louisville region. It was a blessing being able to be around two other teams learning how they do things. It was very sharpening for our team and influential for our students…
There is an atmosphere of excitement in our Resource Office as we joyfully labor to steward and advance Campus Outreach. That energy only increases every time we have an All Staff Meeting or a region wide event. The main reason: we as a team get to labor together. How much more joy do you think we have when we consider our larger team of ministry partners? Immeasurably more.
You know the “Skip Intro” button? The one that comes up when you are watching your favorite show on Netflix? The one that allows you to leap past the credits of all the people that made the show possible so that you can get to the good stuff? I am so happy that Campus Outreach does not have a “Skip Intro” button.
“Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:30-31
John’s Gospel account is my favorite Gospel. This was one of the first books of the bible I studied after becoming a Christian. I have often wondered, “What were all the other signs Jesus did that John did not record?” We don't know for sure, although the synoptic Gospels give us a few more miracles that John doesn't record. But one thing John does is he tells us why he includes what he does in his gospel account. That you may believe! John wrote everything he did with one point in mind– that you may understand who Jesus is and believe.
